This Clair Cline 1967 bass features a 39 1/4″ string length. This bass was made for Roger Cline (recently retired from the Chicago Symphony!) by his father, Clair. Cline learned violin making as a prisoner of war in a German concentration camp. A movie called “Instrument of War” was made about his time there.
A really sweet 5/8th size bass, this instrument is perfect for a player of any size. It is ergonomic and light weight with a very full sound. It has a beautiful flamed maple back, ribs, and scroll, and was just set up in house.
