This instrument was made by Giuseppe Tarantino in 1935. It has a round back and a custom C-extension made here in the shop by Thomas Wolf. Visually, this bass is beautiful- it has transparent amber varnish, stunning plate tuners, and a five-leaf purfling ornament on the upper back. The shorter string length and proportions make this a great choice for a smaller player. Don’t let the size fool you- it has a robust sound and would keep up in any section!
